We are Church, a group of people who gather to worship, to have fun together, to support one another and respond to the life that God breathes into us. We are one part of the whole church that includes people and denominations around the world.
We are Covenant Church, we’ve been around for about 25 years in south Calgary. We are people rising to new life in Jesus, learning to use that new life to serve God and serve others.
We are a Christian Reformed church.
The “Christian” part of our name means that we are grateful and eager and often enough, stumbling followers of Jesus.
We believe in a Father who is God who created all things and reveals Himself in creation and in the Bible.
We believe in Jesus, the Son of God. He is our Savior and Master. He brings us to the Father.
We believe in the Holy Spirit who is God and gives us faith and all the gifts we need to serve God and others.
We believe that the Bible is God’s word for us and an always reliable guide for those who want to know God.
We subscribe to the ecumenical creeds: the Apostle’s Creed, the Athanasian Creed and the Nicene Creed
The “Reformed” part of our name means that we proclaim the same faith that all Christians proclaim, but, like all Christian, we have our own accent. The nuances of it are explained in three Reformed confessions:
• The Belgic Confession
• The Canons of Dort
• The Heidelberg Catechism
The Christian Reformed Church in North America has nearly 1,000 congregations and through our agencies and partners, we serve God around the world. Learn more about the CRC at: www.crcna.org
